upcycling wine bottles
Project description
We are Selfles: a social enterprise engaged in the processing of glass. Despite the fact that we have a circular system for beer bottles in the Netherlands, this does not yet exist for wine bottles. Therefore, we give wine bottles (and other glassware) a second life. We collect the empty wine bottles, and in cooperation with a social work place we turn them into sustainable light objects. In this way we literally put these bottles in the spotlight. Besides upcycling the wine bottles, we want our light objects to create awareness about recycling, and also make circularisation more visible.
